Our Mission
Our mission is to mainly spread awareness of Child Poverty. According to FFOC, 58% of California's population isn't aware of the ongoing crisis of Child Poverty happening today. We as an organization truly believe we can put together a place in New York and California to show, and help others understand just how important this problem really is. Overall, Giving Youth is a place for people to share and getting informed on what's lately been happening overtime with Child Poverty.

Why is it Happening?
The biggest reason for the increase in child poverty, in New York and California, was the end of pandemic-era policies like the expanded child tax credit, enhanced unemployment insurance and cash payments that helped low-income families keep up with rising costs. However, this wasn’t enough to allow families to keep up with growing prices on everything.

Jacob Kim always had a heart for those in need, especially the youth. He started Giving Youth to encourage kids to help those in need.

What is Child Poverty
Child Poverty is most commonly defined as an issue where kids can't afford the simple nessecites they need to survive. Very commonly this leads to kids starving on streets and with no hoes as well.
